The promising areas for application of OOP includes Real-time systems, Simulation and modeling, Object-oriented databases, Hypertext, hypermedia and expert text, AI and expert systems, Neutral networks and parallel programming, Decision support and office automation systems, CIM/CAD/CAD system.
