Considered as one of the most successful inventors in history, holding more than 1000 patents in his name, Thomas Alva Edison, developed many instruments that were of great importance to human kind , the most important being the electric bulb. His notable inventions are more particularly related to telecommunications. He started his career as telegraph operator, and later became a vendor in railway stations. He got his first patent in 1869 for ,inventing electronic voting machine. He then invented phonograph and gained fame. One of his remarkable inventions is the Direct Current . He developed fluoroscope and is renowned to have invented cinema. He died in 1931.
