Akira Kurosawa , was one the most famous Asian directors. He directed about 30 films in his 50 year career span. He is still considered as the beat director, producer and screenwriter ans is widely regarded as one of the most important and influential filmmakers of his generation. He learned of an apprenticeship program for directors through a major film studio, and started his career as a assistant director. His first film was released on 1943. in 1950 ,he directed a film titled “Rashomon” , which earned him international reputation. He ,unlike other directors ,edited his own film and during production. He was awarded “Academy Award” for “Lifetime Achievement” in 1989.
